DELINQUENCY AND RECONNECTION FEES

DELINQUENCY

Water bills are due when sent and if not paid within 20 days after date of being sent, they are delinquent. Then a second notice will be sent stating the date water service will be terminated if the bill is not paid and said water service will remain disconnected until the water service charge is paid.

A fee of $7.50 shall be assessed against any city utility account when a shut-off notice is sent. The late fee shall be added to, and become, part of the outstanding balance against
the account and shall bear interest at the same rate as the outstanding balance.

RECONNECTION FEES

If water service is disconnected for failure to pay (water charge), then a reconnection fee will be charged as follows:

1. $20.00 if the water service is reconnected during regular working hours with such fee to be paid before the water service will be reconnected.

2. $40.00 if the water service is reconnected between the hours of 4:00pm and 8:00am or on Saturday, Sunday or a holiday with the fee to be paid
    before the water service will be reconnected.
